For Bowmanville and Clarington families
Clarington is the eastern end of Durham, with Bowmanville at the middle of it, and it has been growing steadily for years.
We're opening an independent school for Kindergarten through Grade 6 somewhere in the region, and families out here are welcome in the founding cohort.
Getting there
If the school lands in the middle or west of the region, this is a real commitment twice a day, and we'd rather you weighed that now than in September.
Put your town and the longest drive you'd genuinely accept on the form. An honest number is worth more to us than an optimistic one.
Questions about Bowmanville and Clarington
How far would we realistically be driving?
Unknown until the site is chosen, which is the honest answer. If it lands mid-region, expect 25 to 35 minutes each way from Bowmanville.
Would you ever run a bus?
Not in the first year. A school opening with its founding cohort can't carry route costs, so families drive.
Could the school open in Clarington?
Yes, if enough founding families are out here. That is what decides it.
We're rural. Is that a problem?
No. A lot of what we teach suits children who are already comfortable outside and around tools.
Join the founding families list
The Academy opens when the founding cohort is full. Families on the list get first places, help set the first year's calendar, and keep the founding rate for as long as their child is enrolled.
