For Oshawa families
Oshawa is the largest city in Durham, with a long history behind it and a school population to match.
We're opening an independent school for Kindergarten through Grade 6 in the region, and Oshawa families are welcome in the founding cohort.
What it costs, and what you can check
We're aiming at $8,000 to $12,000 a year for full time, with part-time places likely. The exact figure is set before anybody enrols.
Parents get the material in advance, and it stays available right through the year. Ontario doesn't inspect private elementary schools, so we'd rather show you the material than ask you to trust us.
Questions about Oshawa
Do you offer financial assistance?
Not yet, and we'd rather say so than imply otherwise. It is on the list of things to work out with the founding families before the first year.
What if we join the list and change our minds?
Nothing happens. It costs nothing, there is nothing to cancel, and you can ask us to stop emailing at any point.
Is there a bus from Oshawa?
Not at first. A school opening with its founding cohort can't run routes, so families drive.
What ages can start?
Four years old on the first day of school, through Grade 6. The four-year floor is a licensing line rather than a preference.
Join the founding families list
The Academy opens when the founding cohort is full. Families on the list get first places, help set the first year's calendar, and keep the founding rate for as long as their child is enrolled.
